We recently returned from a trip to Ireland. We are a family group of five adults and one infant. We spent two wonderful nights at Highfield House. It was not only perfectly located and beautiful both inside and out, but the woman in charge, Geraldine, was the nicest innkeeper who went out of her way to accommodate us including making sure we had access to the refrigerator for the baby, greeting us with scones upon our arrival, accommodating our request for an early breakfast on the day of our departure, and going so far as to mail back to the US my son-in-law's jacket, which he had left behind in our haste. Trim is a lovely town, but staying at Highfield house was one of its highlights. SSSSS

From the moment I drove up the driveway to the Highfield House, until my last drive down the driveway to my next destination in Ireland, I knew I had selected to best place to stay in the Trim area. The rooms were so inviting, comfy beds, lots of room in the bathroom, and the food, oh the food, absolutely delicious! Not to mention the view from my bedroom, overlooking the beautiful front yard and Trim Castle area. You can leave your car and walk to town, to Trim Castle, all very close. Great location to take day trips to Newgrange, Tara, Dublin, etc. The owners were wonderful, so personable and caring about your every need, along with their staff, Melanie was wonderful. This guesthouse is beautifully decorated and the grounds impeccable. Making plans to return with family and this is my top pick to return to again. I already have friends here in the US anxious to visit. Thanks for a wonderful stay, it was just too short....SSSSS

My husband and I liked Highfield House and the area around Trim so much that we extended our stay by two days. Geraldine is a fantastic host, so friendly, warm and helpful. Her B&B is spacious, beautifully decorated and welcoming. It is a very short, lovely walk from Trim Castle, and convenient to Hill of Tara, Looughcrew, Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth. Our room was beautiful and perfect; we had great internet. The breakfasts were first class in a bright attractive breakfast room. Most wonderful of all is Geraldine. She is a gem. We will certainly be back again.SSSSS

Alright, I'll sound gushy, but this B&B was phenomenal. The proprietor went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The tea and warmed scones were the best. The view of the river, the castle and abbey, and the well manicured grounds were great. I would not hesitate to stay there again.SSSSS

Very nice comfortable beautiful place with very friendly and helpful owners and staff. Convenient location for local sites and other sites north of Dublin. Easy drive into the Dublin airport without all the traffic. They were very accomodating with an early breakfast so we could make our flight. SSSSS

Stayed with a few friends for a reunion on the 19th October and had a great stay. The owners were so friendly and the rooms were spotlessly clean, great bathroom and bed was really comfortable too. The breakfast was really nice and there was more then enough and were offered more if we wanted some. Really close to the Castle were there are stunning views, would stay here again and would recommend to friends. SSSSS
